Now that we have all of this wonderful knowledge in our heads, how can
we impart that onto the customers in a way that they'll find entertaining
and not lecturing?
Gambling is one of the easiest ways. This requires that you have some
coins that look period, unless you're going to gamble a bit away from
the audience. Unfortunately, period coin replicas are a bit expensive.
Complain about inflated prices. Since the Queen's in town, all the merchants
have been raising their prices, because they know the nobles can afford
it. Note: do not go to a real merchant and stand in front of
their booth and do this. It's rather bad for business.
Talk about what you've "bought". While strolling through the
streets with some companions, talk about how much that knife cost, or
those apples cost, etc.
Bargain with the mongers. If your faire has mongers that are hawking
things like pig's heads, bargain with them. Tell them to deliver it
tonight to your house over the hill.
